Twitter to Host Rogue One Live-Stream Featuring New Footage with a Q&A from the Cast

If you thought you had seen the last of the new footage from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story until it hits theaters on December 16, then you thought wrong…

Thanks to a scoop from Variety, we have some information about a major Twitter event taking place on Tuesday, December 2, regarding Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. According to Variety, the event — hosted by Time Inc.’s People Magazine —  will be a live-stream of exclusive footage from Rogue One followed by a Q&A with the cast of the film, as well as director Gareth Edwards.

Here’s a list of cast members that will be on hand to answer fan questions during the Rogue One live-stream, as well as others:

  • Director Gareth Edwards
  • Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy
  • Felicity Jones (Jyn Erso)
  • Diego Luna (Captain Cassian Andor)
  • Ben Mendelsohn (Director Orson Krennic)
  • Donnie Yen (Chirrut Îmwe)
  • Mads Mikkelsen (Galen Erso)
  • Alan Tudyk (K-2SO)
  • Riz Ahmed (Bodhi Rook)

Star Wars fans will be able to submit questions on Twitter for the cast to answer during the event, which will be moderated by People Magazine deputy editor JD Heyman. All fans need to do is tweet the hashtag #AskRogueOne.

Twitter has also gotten in on the fun by adding Rogue One and Star Wars unique emojis. Star Wars Fans just need to Tweet one of the following hashtags and a Star Wars Twitter emoji appear:

  • #DeathStar
  • #StarWars
  • #StarWarsRogueOne

That’s not all, as Variety explains, People magazine is also releasing a special newsstand edition on November 30, called Star Wars: The Secrets of Rogue One, which will include a virtual-reality bonus pack, complete with goggles. There will also be an original special on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, premiering November 30, on Time Inc.’s new People/Entertainment Weekly Network — PEN.
