The actors are coming on stage!

Gareth Edwards’ favorite Star Wars film is A New Hope, which is interesting since he is making what is essentially the sequel to that film in Rogue One.

Ben Mendelsohn (Orson Krennic) is totally sold out for the Empire. The moderator compares his character to Peter Cushing’s Tarkin.

“We’re the Empire, we build things.” Talking about the Death Star.

Felicity Jones talks about breaking through the stereotypes of English females and becoming a badass action hero.

Donnie Yen talks about how difficult it was to wear those contact lenses to be a blind monk and perform all those action scenes with the other actors.

Alan Tudyk who portrays K-2SO gets compared (CGI vs being on set wise) to Jar Jar binks and everyone has an uncomfortable laugh.

Gareth Edwards says his favorite sexual couple in Star Wars is C-3PO and R2-D2. Everyone laughs.

Riz Ahmed talks about going different projects like HBO’s The Night Of, to Rogue One.

Gareth Edwards talks about shooting a scene between Ben Mendelsohn’s Orson Krennic and Darth Vader (voiced by James Earl Jones in Rogue One). Edwards says Mendelsohn got very freaked out by filming that first scene with Vader.

Ben Mendelsohn kept some of his capes from his Orson Krennic uniforms. Also, Gareth Edwards talks about having to learn to properly film Darth Vader. For instance, Vader always has to be the tallest character in the shot, so the camera work has to go through some special maneuvering to the right angle.

Gareth Edwards gave Riz Ahmed his personal email for auditions for Rogue One, and Ahmed ended up getting neurotic and sending him many, many different versions of the auditions to Edwards. Big laugh from the crowd.

Felicity Jones says she loves that Jyn Erso is a feral type of character.

Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn have a hilarious verbal dispute on who has the coolest costume in the film. Diego Luna reveals that he was told that no one in Star Wars has buttons.

The exclusive clip was shown and it features Jyn, Cassian, and Kaytoo on a U-Wing preparing to go to Jedha. Jyn has a blaster and Cassian isn’t happy about it. Jyn tells Cassian that trust goes both ways and he allows her to keep it. Kaytoo tells Cassian that the probability of Jyn using the weapon on him is high.
