Rogue One Star Felicity Jones Shoots Down that Rey and Jyn Theory

The Star Wars fandom is a wonderful place filled with all sort of fantastic theories and speculation regarding the Star Wars films, but Rogue One star Felicity Jones is here to shoot one of those theories down…

If you were one of the many, many Star Wars fans who has been desperately holding onto the theory that Jyn Erso from Rogue One is the mother of Rey from The Force Awakens, then we’ve got some bad news for you, Jyn herself, Felicity Jones, is here to hilariously blow your theory to smithereens.

In a funny short from MTV, Felicity Jones, gives us all a Star Wars: Rogue One PSA. Check it out:

“I’m not Daisy Ridley”

That first line had me nearly spitting my hot coffee all over my computer screen, but then Felicity Jones goes on a rant of epic proportions about British female actors, not all being the same or related, even going so far as to hilariously compare Ridley’s favorite Doctor Who (Matt Smith) to her own favorite Doctor (David Tennant).

And that’s where she decimates the entire “Reyjyn” theory population on Reddit:

“Also, before I see another Reddit thread…Rey and Jyn, not related.”

This turns out to be another hilarious run down the Star Wars rabbit hole, as Jones asks if C-3PO and Boba Fett were related because they both have metal exoskeletons. My God, this was probably the funniest thing attached to the new Star Wars films that I have personally seen.
