We are five days away from the worldwide theatrical premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the very first Star Wars standalone film in the history of the Star Wars cinematic universe, and the anticipation, for Star Wars fans, has never been higher.
On Saturday night, the Hollywood Red Carpet Premiere for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story took place and was live-streamed by StarWars.com. Ater the event, and the film’s conclusion ( two hours and 18 minutes), the critics, Hollywood A-listers, and lucky fans who were in attendance took to the internet to express their feelings regarding the film, and let’s just say that Rogue One was more than well received.
Gizmodo entertainment reporter, Germain Lussier had this to say:
Holy crap did I love Rogue One. It’s gonna take days to wipe the smile off my face. So many surprises and so much fun. Get excited.

Slashfilm’s Peter Sciretta wasn’t as enthusiastic, but had all positive thoughts:
Star Wars fans will be very happy with #RogueOne. It's fun, action packed, doesn't feel neutered by reshoots. Donnie Yen and K2so standouts.

Sciretta also confirmed a rumor we’ve been hearing floating around regarding content from the trailers not being in the film:
Theres an amazing amount of footage/dialogue in the #RogueOne trailers and marketing that are not in the film, including Troopers in water.

Entertainment Weekly’s Anthony Breznican had more than just one tweet regarding his thoughts on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story:
Breznican backs up what Sciretta says regarding the trailer footage:
On Chirrut and Kaytoo:
And finally, some very exciting Darth Vader scenes that has me wanting to jump out of my skin to go see Rogue One right now. Like, right fracking now:
Collider’s Steven Weintraub had some thoughts:
With all the talk of reshoots and production problems the final cut of Rogue One is worth the wait. Man that 3rd act....so so good.

Also do not read any reviews. So many of the twists and turns have not been revealed in marketing. My jaw hit ground a few times.

New York Magazine and Vulture writer, Kyle Buchanan:
IGN entertainment editor, Terri Schwartz, on the action in Rogue One.
#RogueOne is FANTASTIC. Incredible action, both planetary and interstellar, and looks GORGEOUS. Most importantly, it feels like Star Wars.

Filmmaker and uber-nerd Kevin Smith was excited:
Holy Sith! @RogueOneMovie is unbelievably wonderful! No lie: it is #EmpireStrikesBack great! An excellent chapter in the @starwars Universe! pic.twitter.com/Lb0vQ06ifh
