Four new Rogue One TV spots have been released featuring all-new footage and some new dialogue from the very first Star Wars standalone film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story…
With only three days remaining until the worldwide premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in theaters, Lucasfilm is still releasing Rogue One TV spots featuring all-new footage from the film, as well as all-new dialogue.
The good thing, for those of you who were worried about all the new footage being released in the Rogue One TV spots, is Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that more than half of the footage seen in these teasers did not make it to the final cut of the film.
"“Much like The Force Awakens, there are a significant number of shots from the Rogue One trailers that aren’t in the finished film. Director Gareth Edwards says he shot a lot of footage in a cinema verite style, trying to capture the chaos of battle, so either trailer-makers drew heavily from material that was later unused, or portions of those scenes were reshot.”"
With that in mind, here are the four most recent additions to the Rouge One teaser library:
Obviously, the new scene here is Kaytoo telling an Imperial officer his help wouldn’t be necessary and then bonking him on the head, knocking him out. I’ve said it before, but K-2SO is poised to become on the Star Wars fandom’s most favorite droids.
This next Rogue One TV spot has a scene from Orson Krennic we’ve not yet seen. “It’s Started.”
Our next clip is all about family. “For family. For Honor. For each other.”
Our final entry in the new Rogue One TV spots shows the Rebels gearing up for battle with the Empire.
Regardless if this new footage is shown in the final cut of the film, we can still get a feeling for the direction of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and all signs are pointing to an amazing Star Wars film that will have fans on the edge of their seats and cheering out loud.
