Star Wars Celebration will take place in April of 2017, and the unique and very collectible Badge Art for Celebration Orlando has been unveiled….

It is hard to believe that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has already premiered in theaters and we are headed into 2017, the year of Star Wars: Episode VIII. In that vein, StarWars.com has just unveiled the Star Wars Celebration Badge Art for 2017, and each piece is beautifully done and will be the perfect addition for any collector.

The badges were created by artist Paul Shipper, and they are described as “Photorealistic sketches of characters from current Star Wars stories, with a hand-drawn feel.” This is what Shipper had to say about the badges:

"“The main thing for me was pleasing everybody at Lucasfilm. And then in turn, because they would like them, then hopefully the fans will enjoy them, as well. It’s a case of trying to do something that would be very different from anything that’s maybe been done before, in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Star Wars.”"

Here’s Ezra Bridger from Star Wars Rebels:

Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels:

Hera Syndulla from Star Wars Rebels:

Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels:

Zeb from Star Wars Rebels:

Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars Rebels:

And now characters from The Force Awakens. Here’s Finn:

Kylo Ren from The Force Awakens:

Poe Dameron from The Force Awakens:

Rey from The Force Awakens:

Luke Skywalker from The Force Awakens:

I think out of all these Star Wars Celebration Orlando Art Badges, Luke Skywalker from The Force Awakens is my favorite. Still, all of the badges are beautiful works of art, and Star Wars fans attending the celebration in April are in for a real treat.
