This is the Star Wars: The Force Awakens deleted scene you’ve been looking for, as we finally get to see Chewbacca rip Unkar Plutt’s arm off and toss it across the room…

It is perhaps one of the most talked about scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Star Wars fans never got to see it…until now, that is. The scene unfolds in Maz Kanata’s bar as Unkar Plutt has tracked down Rey via the homing beacon he placed on the Milennium Falcon.

Plutt, being the intergalactic bully that he is, grabbed Rey and threatened her. Well, guess what? Chewbacca was having none of that, and the loyal Wookiee stepped in to save the day. The only problem was, Unkar Plutt thought he could bully a Wookiee, and he started to poke Chewbacca in his wounded arm. There’s a lesson to be learned here: Never poke a Wookiee, folks. Here’s the scene:

I absolutely love the look on Rey’s face as Plutt’s arm goes flying across the room. And, to add even more comedic relief, lovable, yet overly anxious astromech droid, BB-8, watches it going flying as well.

I wish J.J. Abrams had left this scene in the film. I mean, I understand that this is Star Wars and the kids are watching, but come on, this is a Wookiee at the height of his anger…how can you not show this scene in the original cut? Oh well, maybe we’ll get more of Chewbacca doing bodily harm to the bad guys in Star Wars: Episode VIII…just don’t go poking any Wookiees until then.
