The official website for Star Wars Celebration in Orlando in April 2017 announced The Last Jedi panel, featuring Kathleen Kennedy and Rian Johnson.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the main star of Star Wars Celebration in Orland this year. The official Star Wars Celebration website confirmed that today by announcing a panel about The Last Jedi, scheduled for day two of the weekend-long event.

Read the official description for The Last Jedi panel below:

"Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and Star Wars:The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson will appear on stage at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando on Friday, April 14th. There will be plenty of surprises and special guests on the panel to keep the excitement brewing and speculation spinning throughout the rest of the weekend."

If the panel follows the same form as past major Star Wars film panels, the main cast of the film will join Johnson and Kennedy on stage as “special guests.” Doubtless, we will see a new trailer for the film as well as new character images.

Another tradition The Force Awakens and Rogue One inspired at the previous two Celebration events is a costume exhibit. In 2015, Celebration at Anaheim displayed costumes from The Force Awakens. And in 2016 at Celebration Europe, the convention center in London showcased Rogue One‘s costumes. Hopefully, The Last Jedi‘s character outfits will receive a similar treatment this April.

SWCO promises other guests besides Johnson, Kennedy, and (likely) the cast of Episode VIII. Rogue One star Felicity Jones was confirmed as a Celebration guest. Currently, her schedule consists of signing autographs and taking photos with fans. Star Wars film alums Ian McDiarmid (Emperor Palpatine) and Jeremy Bulloch (original trilogy Boba Fett) are also scheduled to make appearances.
