A Best Buy listing suggests Rogue One: A Star Wars Story releases on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 4th, 2017.
There is another… possible date for the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story on Blu-Ray and DVD.
A couple of weeks ago we reported a book listing on Amazon which, according to its description, releases the same day as the Rogue One DVD. The day the book releases is March 28. Now, however, Star Wars News Net reports a pre-order listing on the official Best Buy online store which suggests an April 4th date for bringing Rogue One home.
(The listing on Best Buy was taken down sometime after SWNN published their revealing piece. However, they wisely took a screenshot of the product page, which you can view on their website here.)
While April 4th is not as good as a March 28th release date, it is, blessedly, only a week later. Furthermore, an April 4th release is just in time for Star Wars Celebration in Orlando on Easter weekend. Expect a screening of Rogue One, just as Celebration Europe in 2016 screened a showing of the recently released The Force Awakens. The Rogue One Blu-Ray will surely come with bonus features, as well, which means any behind the scenes information Lucasfilm is keeping secret may be discussed at Celebration in Orlando.
