Maul Searches Desperately For Obi Wan In New Star Wars Rebels Trailer

In a new 15-second Star Wars Rebels trailer, Maul searches for Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine in anticipation an epic showdown.

Maul is searching desperately for Obi-Wan Kenobi in a new, 15-second-long trailer for Star Wars Rebels.

In the Star Wars Rebels episode “Twin Suns,” premiering March 18th on Disney XD, Maul and Obi-Wan face off one more time in an epic showdown on Tatooine.

Maul first found out Obi-Wan was on Tatooine through a vision he shared with Ezra. We knew then that his next destination would be the planet with twin suns.

It’s bizarre to me that Maul still wants revenge on Obi-Wan after all this time. After all, he killed Obi-Wan’s master in The Phantom Menace, and later he murdered Satine Kryze, Obi-Wan’s lover. Furthermore, Emperor Palpatine destroyed the Jedi Order and all of Obi-Wan’s friends. What greater revenge could Maul want? I guess he will never be satisfied until one of them kills the other.

Which brings up the question: Will Maul die in “Twin Suns”? For Obi-Wan’s sake, I hope so. Obi-Wan deserves some satisfaction, considering all the pain Maul caused him during his lifetime. On the other hand, he might not actually kill Maul when push comes to shove. It remains to be seen whether he will continue the Jedi’s rule of mercy, or if he will kill to keep the new hope he guards safe.

If Maul doesn’t die, he will probably slink back into a hole somewhere deep in the galaxy. He may also kill himself. He doesn’t have much other than revenge to live for. When that is denied him, death may be his only recourse.
