Where is the crew of the Ghost from Star Wars Rebels in the Original Trilogy era?

The Ultimate Fate of Star Wars Rebels‘ Phoenix Squadron
Rebels is nearing its fourth season – and the events of Rogue One can only be so far away. Phoenix Squadron was the vanguard of the Rebellion’s operations before Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Luke Skywalker took over. But like the original Rogue Squadron, Phoenix Squadron may end.

Kanan and Ezra have almost no chance of surviving into the Original Trilogy era, but the non-force sensitive members of the Ghost crew could. Whether Sabine, Zeb, and Hera are all still fighting together is tentative, though.
Different parts of the Rebellion may force them on different paths, much like Han, Leia, and Luke in the years following Return of the Jedi.
A final clue to Ghost’s crew’s destiny might have subtly been in our faces all along. Phoenix Squadron and specifically Sabine’s armor has always been adorned with the star bird symbol. Perhaps the Rebel Alliance adopts this symbol as a token of appreciation for the Rebel squad that set a fire across the galaxy.
