Star Wars: The Last Jedi is written and directed by Rian Johnson (Looper, Brick), and is produced by Ram Bergman, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. Of course, what Star Wars film would be complete without the musical score from legendary composer, John Williams.
The Last Jedi picks up moments after the end of The Force Awakens. Rey is standing atop the island of Ahch-To, arm extended toward the mysterious Luke Skywalker, hand gripping the Skywalker familial lightsaber. A lightsaber that once belonged to Luke’s father Anakin, and the same lightsaber that Luke lost on Cloud City. Rey has no idea how the old Jedi Master will react.
