Han Solo Director gives fans first sneak pic of Lando on set…

The news and information stream coming from the set of the untitled Han Solo film has been limited and controlled, as of late. The movie had no presence at the D23 Expo last weekend, despite rumors that it would. However; the only bit of news that was released was that Star Wars: Han Solo was on schedule for a May 2018 release.

Across the social media world, Star Wars fans expressed their displeasure with the lack of Han Solo content. No footage. No trailer. No pictures. No Ron Howard. No Kathleen Kennedy.

Ron Howard, however; must have sensed a great disturbance in the Force among fans, and responded in kind. Via his Instagram account on Tuesday, Howard gave fans an on set picture of what appears to be actor Donald Glover, who plays con-man extraordinaire Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars standalone film.

In the picture, it appears that Glover is sitting inside of some sort of vessel. Could it be the Millenium Falcon? Please tell me that it’s the Falcon!

More from Dork Side of the Force

Fans were first introduced to the iconic character Lando Calrissian by Billy Dee Williams in1980 with the release of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. The character evolved from a selfish con-man to hero of the Rebel Alliance.

Glover (Community, Atlanta) now has the reigns of this legendary character and fans are eager to see what he brings to the table with a character that is beloved by so many.

I believe once a trailer or some sort of footage is released, it will put us more at ease. I also feel that Glover is the actor that has the capability to make this film something really special. His versatility as an actor and performer have the chance to shine in this film, also taking some of the pressure off of Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo.

Do you all agree? Is Glover the right fit for the role of Lando? Does this picture put you at ease? Share below in the comments section and on social media. May the Force be with you all.
