New information from Star Wars: The Last Jedi at SDCC
The 2017 San Diego Comic-Con is happening right now, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi has a small presence there…
With the D23 Disney Expo just a week behind us, and with the 2017 San Diego Comic-Con happening this weekend, one might reasonably expect there to be some news for Star Wars: The Last Jedi at least one of the events.
However, with only a behind the scenes video released at D23, Star Wars fans are hoping for something new, in the way of information about the sequel to The Force Awakens at SDCC. Well, that is, in fact, what has happened, as the Lucasfilm The Last Jedi booth at Comic-Con does gives us a look at a new character.
Meet C’ai Threnalli, an Abednedo Resistance pilot. Here’s the info on this character from StarWars.com:

"A skillful fighter pilot of Abednedo descent, C’ai Threnalli flies as Poe Dameron’s wingman following the evacuation of D’Qar."
You may remember another Abednedo pilot named Ello Asty who was killed in the fight for Starkiller Base, in The Force Awakens. Nien Nunb (Return of the Jedi), Poe Dameron and BB-8 are also represented in this showcase. It will be great to see a legacy character like Nien Nunb back in the franchise.
This The Last Jedi display is located in the Star Wars pavilion, at booth 2913. According to StarWars.com if you can make it over to the booth, you might just see a few surprises.
We want to hear from you: What do you think of C’ai Threnalli? Let’s discuss in the comments below. Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15.
