The Chromed out warrior Captain Phasma is getting her own book with Star Wars: Phasma and Penguin Random House has just released a full synopsis…

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on December 15, but before that happens, Lucasfilm and Disney is setting up the film with “Journey to The Last Jedi.” As part of that journey, a novel all about Captain Phasma is being introduced.

Knowing that Phasma will have much more screen time in The Last Jedi, and that she will be facing off against Finn, makes wanting to learn more about her, all the more exciting.

Star Wars: Phasma is written by author Delilah S. Dawson and will cover Phasma’s mysterious past. Here’s a piece of the synopsis from Penguin Random House:

More from Dork Side of the Force

Deep inside the Battlecruiser Absolution, a captured Resistance spy endures brutal interrogation at the hands of a crimson-armored stormtrooper—Cardinal. But the information he desires has nothing to do with the Resistance or its covert operations against the First Order.

What the mysterious stormtrooper wants is Phasma’s past—and with it whatever long-buried scandal, treachery, or private demons he can wield against the hated rival who threatens his own power and privilege in the ranks of the First Order. His prisoner has what Cardinal so desperately seeks, but she won’t surrender it easily. As she wages a painstaking war of wills with her captor, bargaining for her life in exchange for every precious revelation, the spellbinding chronicle of the inscrutable Phasma unfolds. But this knowledge may prove more than just dangerous once Cardinal possesses it—and once his adversary unleashes the full measure of her fury.

The last time we saw Captain Phasma, she was on her way to being shoved down a trash chute on Starkiller base, by Finn and Han Solo. Many fans wondered if, or how, she escaped the trash compactor before the base was destroyed by the Resistance.

We also don’t know where Phasma is from, who she is beneath the helmet, and why she is working for the First Order. StarWars: Phasma should address those questions.

Star Wars: Phasma will be a good 400-page read, and will be released on September 1. Are you going to grab your copy?
