With December drawing ever closer, all eyes are on news from The Last Jedi but it’s the Han Solo standalone that has been stealing time in the spot light.
May 25, 2018, is still the expected release date for Star Wars: Han Solo and fans can’t wait for the day to get here. Since Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm, the popularity of Star Wars films has grown exponentially. Stars of other hit shows and movies are beginning to line up for roles in future films.
Game of Thrones has become one of the world’s most watched shows and Emilia Clarke is going to play a role in the Han Solo movie.

Thanks to a recent interview with The Wire star Michael K. Williams, we know Clarke’s name in the Han Solo film will be either Kira or Kura.
Kira isn’t a name that even the EU fans would recognize in the Han Solo universe. The only other time this name has popped up has been in the Knights of the Old Republic video game as a Jedi Knight who accompanies you on missions. So this is the beginning of a completely new character.
Even with Disney taking huge risks, creating a brand new set of characters for the new generation of fans, they still have done an amazing job. With her work in a Game of Thrones, we know Emilia Clarke will also bring her A game for this movie.
Han Solo is set to release on May 25th of 2018
