When will the second trailer for The Last Jedi air?

With Star Wars: The Last Jedi now three months away, how close are we to getting the second trailer?

In a recent interview, Rian Johnson — Director and writer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi stated that the film was “almost done,” meaning we are one step closer to laying our eyes on the next trailer…the cinematic trailer for the film.

Johnson’s statement coincides with a recent tweet from the official Star Wars Twitter account, causing fans to do a double take.

Obviously, this tweet could simply mark the three-month point from the premiere of The Last Jedi, and that makes complete sense. However, it could mean something else, as well.

The cinematic trailers for both Rogue One and The Force Awakens aired during a Monday Night Football game on ESPN, leading us (as well as many fans) to believe the cinematic trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi is just around the corner, in October.

Again, the cinematic trailer (also called the official trailer by StarWars.com) for The Force Awakens was released on October 19th, during a Monday Night Football game on ESPN, and at this point, we anticipate that Disney/Lucasfilm will employ the same strategy for The Last Jedi.
