Another well-known actor will make a cameo in a Star Wars film, this time for The Last Jedi…

Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt — The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Looper — confirms on social media that he will, in fact, make a cameo in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, joining a wide variety of famous stars to make “blink or you’ll miss it” appearance within the franchise.

Gordon- Levitt has appeared in all three of Rian Johnson’s — writer and director for The Last Jedi — major motion pictures releases:
1.Looper (2009)
2.The Brother’s Bloom (2008)
3.Brick (2005)

More from Dork Side of the Force

You can now add a fourth Johnson directed film to his repertoire. Being one of my favorite actors, hearing this news does thrill me, however, I wish Gordon- Levitt would have signed on for a larger role to really showcase his acting skills.

Star Wars is known for its directors throwing some of their acting friends a bone, giving them roles — whether it be an actual role or cameo. J.J. Abrams cast Simon Pegg (Star Trek) to play Unkar Plutt, as well
as Greg Grunberg (Lost, Heroes) to play Snap Wexley, for minor roles in The Force Awakens. Daniel Craig (James Bond) made an appearance in the same film as a Stormtrooper, while Ron Howard’s brother will continue his trend of appearing in his films, this time for the untitled Han Solo movie.
