The Last Jedi receives mild sex, nudity rating from IFCO

Is Star Wars: The Last Jedi going to be edgy, with its IFCO rating revealing mild sex and nudity?

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is nearly two weeks from its official release date, leaving Star Wars fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation.

Speaking of edge, the IFCO’s — The Irish Film Classification — releasing of its rating for The Last Jedi seems to be a racy one, on the surface that is.

Should this alarm, or for some excite, those who are used to a particular style of Star Wars films? Or, will it be business as usual?

Sorry to burst the bubble of those who were hoping for more of a Game of Thrones type vibe, but the rating is nothing new for a galaxy far, far away.

In fact, The Force Awakens received the same classification across the board, with Rogue One receiving a check mark of “none” on the nudity/sex section.

If Chewbacca were to remove his sash in an upcoming Star Wars film, the nudity ratings would be higher than Anakin Skywalker’s Midi-chlorian count, that’s for sure.

I am curious where this “mild” designation came from for The Force Awakens, which was as family friendly as any Star Wars movie could be. The Force has many mysterious, with the IFCO ratings being among them.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars:

  • Daisy Ridley as Rey
  • Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker
  • Adam Driver as Kylo Ren
  • Carrie Fisher as Leia
  • John Boyega as Finn
  • Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron
  • Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma
  • Benicio Del Toro as D.J.
  • Laura Dern as Admiral Holdo
  • Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca

With the galaxy once again in turmoil and with the First Order on to rise to power, General Leia and her Resistance are all that stands against Supreme Leader Snoke and evil. Luke Skywalker may hold the key to defeating him if only Rey can convince him into action.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, worldwide, where we will see it’s “mild” nudity and all.
