The cast for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has a bit of fun on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with Rian Johnson leaving fans with one spoiler…

The cast of Star Wars: The Last Jedi made a joint appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! talk show, in the promotion of their new film.

All of the “big guns” showed up — Daisy Ridley, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Gwendoline Christie, and writer/director  Rian Johnson.

The faces new to the Star Wars galaxy — Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran — appeared, as well.

Kimmel provides us with a few skits, one fun, the other, well almost as bearable as Jar Jar Binks.

Kicking things off, a fun montage of classic Star Wars scenes,= with the “bleep button” inserted at opportune times — to sound like edits of foul language — was clever and much fun to watch. I found myself laughing out loud during the whole segment.

The fun feeling was short-lived, with the next segment falling way short of its predecessor. Even though it was great to see the smooth Rian Johnson, Jimmy Kimmel fell short in his attempt of humor in their joint skit.

I found myself wanting to fast -forward through it, where it was nowhere as good as the previous skit.

Kicking off the interview segment were the three main stars and director of The Last Jedi cast — Ridley, Hamill, Driver, and Johnson.

Kimmel redeemed himself, showing off more of his strengths, facilitating this fantastic interview.

We get more confirmation that The Last Jedi picks up where The Force Awakens leaves off, “a literal cliff-hanger,” as Hamill humorously jests, to the crowd.

“Han Solo and Princess Leia must have been terrible parents,” Kimmel jests, but he is spot on with that assessment, which we are sure to learn in The Last Jedi.

Daisy Ridley was flawless as always when asked about Rey’s parents, deflecting the question to Johnson, who refused to give in to those demands.

He did give in a little, reiterating that Luke Skywalker is the last Jedi.

Hamill goes on to describe the saga as being about family, a dysfunctional one to be exact.

"You think you have bad relatives. Imagine how I felt when I realized he was dad Vader."

Hamill also reflected back on his time filming The Empire Strikes Back and the burden of keeping the “dad Vader” secret for over a year and a half in the late 70’s/early 80’s.

The remaining cast then joined the fun, with Jimmy Kimmel continuing is relaxed, conversational style.

Andy Serkis even joked around about all of the awful Snoke theories, asking Kimmel his thoughts on the matter.

Laura Dern said joining Star Wars joining a galaxy far, far away was a dream come true and even freaked out with “Luke Skywalker” present. She also reminisced about her excitement seeing one her beloved childhood favorites, Chewbacca, for the first time on the set of The Last Jedi.

More from Dork Side of the Force

Kimmel addressed Porgs as the next “Ewoks” or “Jar Jar,” with Johnson easing our minds, explaining their usefulness.

Boyega admits that he is still freaked out by this furry creatures.

Rian Johnson even received a custom action figure of himself, given to him by Kimmel himself.

The show ended with Kimmel asking for one spoiler, with the first word of The Last Jedi revealing it as “we’re.”

The cast on Jimmy Kimmel Live! made my geek heart sing, helping get through this long 13 day wait that we have left.
