Traditionally, Soundtracks tend to follow the film, with The Last Jedi being no different. We can piece together an outline for the film, using this as a guide. The film’s plot seems to go down as such. Remember, this is just speculation and an educated guess.

The Resistance Flees from the First Order, suffering many losses in the process.

We will meet up with Luke and Rey on Ahch-To, where the Jedi Master will refuse to train her at first.

Next, we will meet up with Snoke, who is likely to deal harshly with Kylo Ren for his failures on Starkiller Base.

Finn and Rose will join forces, likely be going undercover on Canto Bight

DJ will cross the paths of that duo, who will have trouble trusting the sketchy “hacker.”

  • “Old friends” is no doubt about Leia and Admiral Hondo reuniting.
  • “Lesson One” could refer to Kylo Ren’s Dark Side training with Snoke, but most likely will be Luke training Rey. Who knows, we could see both simultaneously.
  • Rey will show-off her power within the Force, with Luke, likely asking “Who are you?” in response.

  • “The Cave” will test Rey’s resolve, likely with a mirror of Luke from The Empire Strikes Back.
  • The most exciting reveal is “Ancient Jedi texts” where Luke will school us all in the ways of the Force

“A New Alliance” could mean Luke and Rey are becoming, officially, Master and Apprentice. Or, Rey could join up with Kylo Ren.

More from Dork Side of the Force

“Chrome Dome” is no doubt the faceoff between Phasma and Finn, with a winner take all styled fight likely.

The final act will show “The Battle of Crait” with the First Order and Resistance going at it.

Poe’s line from the trailer is undoubtedly from “Spark.”

  • “The Last Jedi.” A loaded three words if there ever were any. If nothing else, Luke will be present at the end of the film. Possibly rescuing Rey from Snoke, rejoining his sister before she (likely) becomes one with The Force.
  • “Peace and Purpose” could be a reference to Rey, Luke, Leia, or even, Kylo Ren.

Unlike The Phantom Menace, which revealed Qui-Gon’s death with the title — Qui-Gon’s Noble End, Rian Johnson, and John Williams left us with more questions than answers.
