What now for Rey, after Star Wars: The Last Jedi?

At the end of The Force Awakens, we see Rey with an opportunity to begin her new life as a Jedi under the tutelage of Luke Skywalker. The first scene we see them together in Star Wars: The Last Jedi completely breaks that chance.

Throughout the progression of the movie, we see Luke fighting against her in teaching her how to become a Jedi as he was. He finally gives in and teaches her one lesson: why the Jedi need to end.

More from Dork Side of the Force

As the movie continues and she pleads for him to come to his sister’s side, join the Resistance again and train her so they can defeat Snoke and bring Ben back to the light. Still, he denies her the opportunity to learn.

Finally, she gets fed up and decides to leave to go to Kylo and bring him back herself.

After she is tortured by Snoke and then handed over to Kylo to be killed, she gets her chance to save Kylo.

As Kylo kills the last Guard, he attempts to persuade Rey to become his apprentice so they can rule together.

After she flees and saves the (reborn) Rebels, we see the passing of Luke. With Kylo Ren now even darker than before and her potential Master now one with the Force, what is in store for Rey?

Will she be able to continue her training and become a Jedi? Or will she go untrained but still have the Force abilities that make her an excellent fighter?

She has a few Force ghosts that can help her though. Yoda, Anakin, Obi-Wan, and now Luke. Imagine having those four teaching you the ways of the Force?
