Solo: A Star Wars Story is right on track, according to the film’s director Ron Howard.
Contrary to popular belief, Solo: A Star Wars Story will be completed on schedule. Perhaps, Ron Howard found new ways to motivate the crew, with all systems a go for a May 25 release date. Don’t take my word for it, but the director himself, who’s not shied away from social media since taking over the project nearly nine months ago — after Lord and Miller were “let go” from the project back in June of 2017.
Howard’s child-like joy and wonder are refreshing; a man who is genuinely grateful to be part of a galaxy far, far away. He’s used his social media accounts as a behind-the-scenes sneak peak venue, of sorts, with his recent posts getting Star Wars fans excited for the Han Solo origins film.
Evidently, I misspoke. Not only is Ron Howard and the production crew on schedule, but they are well ahead in the post-production process. He’s also not shy to put keyboard warriors in their place, reminding them of their ignorance in a kind way.
With the film finished, it bodes well for a full-length trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story to drop before the film’s release. Once again, Howard is open and honest, revealing the answer to such inquiry.
Last, but not least, Howard (flies) casually, as he watches a particular introduction Star Wars fans have grown accustomed to for over forty years.
Howard is still in shock and awe that he’s directing a Star Wars film, which speaks volumes for someone who’s done it all in his career — including winning an Academy Award. Even with his success and list of accolades, having the opportunity to tell the origins story of Han Solo must be something truly special for the veteran Hollywood star.
The Millenium Falcon is in great hands, and Ron Howard is the perfect man for the job. For the time being, we will live vicariously through his “lens,” but we won’t have to wait much longer to see the final product!
