Star Wars rumors: Star Wars Celebration 2019 returning to Anaheim, California

Star Wars Celebration appears to be making its triumphant return in 2019 in sunny Southern California.

This time last year, my wife and I were enjoying the intricacies of Star Wars Celebration Orlando; having the time of our lives. Well, a more accurate description is that my wife more than tolerated a weekend full of Star Wars, but that’s true love right there, isn’t it?

With Lucasfilm deciding to take a one-year hiatus, the die-hard Star Wars faithful have been waiting patiently for the announcement on 2019’s whereabouts — with the endurance of a Jedi Master.

While we are still awaiting an official announcement from Lucasfilm/Disney, but a source close to the reliable revealed that Star Wars Celebration is heading back to Anaheim, California in Fall of 2019.

Honestly, I don’t care where it’s at in 2019; I just want it back!

If true, this location makes sense, with the unveiling of Disney Star Wars-themed park in both Orlando and Anaheim. Since Celebration 2017 took place in Orlando, Anaheim makes the most logical sense.

Since I need to get my fix of Star Wars Celebration, here are some highlights from my Orlando trip from nearly one year ago.

Meeting my favorite character from a galaxy far, far away in Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) was the highlight of the trip.

Oh Celebration, how I miss you, but it will be worth the wait, making 2019’s variation that much more special. Perhaps, finally, we will get the official Lucasfilm announcement for an Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone film. What are you waiting for Lucasfilm/Disney?
