Ron Howard’s Arrested Development Star Wars parody skit will have you rolling on the floor from laughing so hard!

Oh Ron Howard, what a delightful man! Between Donald Glover hosting SNL this past Saturday and Ron Howard stopping by The Star Wars Show, we’ve just gotten a barrage of Star Wars hilarity!

As a part of his appearance on The Star Wars Show, Ron Howard made an Arrested Development-style Star Wars parody. For those not familiar with Arrested Development, it’s a show about the Bluth family who lose their enormous fortune because the family patriarch defrauds their company’s investors. Pretty much everyone in the family is insane, and the family drama makes for some hilarious television. If you haven’t watched it, you definitely should.

In addition to being an Executive Producer for Arrested Development, Ron Howard also acts as narrator. So, he decided to make a Star Wars parody where he narrates the story of A New Hope Arrested Development style. He even uses the same intro and music that they use in the show. It’s brilliant!

Really, it’s a pretty easy crossover because the Skywalkers are seriously, seriously dramatic and it kind of transitions brilliantly into a comedy.

At one point, they show the clip of Han talking about the Kessel Run and Ron Howard says:

"“Hey, that would make an interesting movie…”"

And the screen immediately cuts to a quick promo for Solo: A Star Wars Story. That made me chuckle!

If you haven’t watched this parody yet, you definitely should! And you should check out the rest of this week’s The Star Wars Show and listen to their interview with Ron Howard about Solo: A Star Wars Story.
