Star Wars rumors surface of Leia’s funeral location for Star Wars: Episode IX
Wild Star Wars rumors surface that Princess Leia will be put to rest on a familiar planet in Star Wars: Episode IX.
Anytime Star Wars rumors circulate on the internet; it’s imperative to take them with a grain of sand — who else hates sand? The closer you get to a film’s release, the more rumors can be trusted.
With Star Wars: Episode IX over a year away, it rings especially true that anything to do with details of the film are just pure speculation and not fact. Plus, J.J. Abrams is the Jedi Master of keeping the script close to the chest, so he may have a bit of fun leaking false plot points.
Anytime Star Wars rumors pop up, it’s best not to ignore them, but investigate them instead. Plus, speculating is a fun way to pass the time while waiting for the film to arrive — it sure beats arguing about Star Wars: The Last Jedi, doesn’t it?
Recently, wild Star Wars rumors and speculation on Leia for Star Wars: Episode IX surfaced. Take this as a rumor and not fact, but if you want to avoid possible spoilers, stop reading now.

These Star Wars rumors don’t stop there, with even bolder claims that Princess, I mean General Leia is put to rest on her mother, her real mother’s home planet.
It’s still unknown whether Leia’s character will live on after Carrie Fisher (Rest in Peace, Princess), but killing Leia offscreen is a possibility. Star Wars: The Last Jedi omitted the funeral of Han Solo, but the fact that the real-life Princess Leia passed on, honoring her onscreen is very possible.
If that’s the route J.J. Abrams and the Lucasfilm story group decides to go, it would be a nice touch.
But, wouldn’t Leia be put to rest on the planet she grew up on? On Alderaan? Oh, wait, nevermind. Too soon?
Anyways, Leia’s final resting place in a tomb next to her mother would be perfect — unless she’s already vanished at this point like her brother Luke, and Master Kenobi before her. Nevertheless, a memorial is plausible, one that may also spark the interest of her son. Ben Solo/aka Kylo Ren.
With Star Wars: Episode IX likely jumping ahead a considerable amount of time, Kylo Ren would be the established leader of the galaxy at this point. No doubt he would travel to pay respects to his mom, and grandma, a moment that would bring all of them feels.
I’m also not buying the fact that Kylo Ren has ditched his Darth Vader fanboy ways quite yet, so Naboo would be a stop on his Darth Vader galaxy wide tour.
