Solo: A Star Wars Story opening crawl variation leaks (Spoilers)

The opening crawl variation for Solo: A Star Wars Story leaks, setting the tone for the film. Spoilers are ahead.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is the movie that many fans weren’t asking for, but who cares? Were people asking for the original Star Wars in 1977? Nope, but it was excellent, and we have not looked back since.

Each Star Wars movie, up until Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, kicked off the story with an opening crawl. Will Solo: A Star Wars Story follow suit with the original films or omit the text all together as Rogue One did in the first Star Wars standalone movie?

We have the answer! If you want to go into Solo: A Star Wars Story 100 percent spoiler free, this is your cue to exit stage left (or is it right?) I can never remember. Your last warning for SPOILERS.

We can not post the image in the article, but Reddit user SanHolo91  hooked us up with a screenchot, which reveals the opening “text” (not crawl), for Solo: A Star Wars Story — setting the tone for the entire film.

"It is a lawless time. CRIME SYNDICATES compete for resources — food, medicine, and HYPERFUEL."

It’s very Star Wars: The Clone Wars-esque, isn’t it? If any movie needed an opening text or crawl, it was Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but they decided not to include one, for some reason. Solo: A Star Wars Story doesn’t need any text or crawl, but they provided us with the extra details, which is pretty cool.

Off the bat, when I hear crime syndicates I think of Jabba the Hutt, the Pykes, and even Maul and Savage Oppress from The Clone Wars — a dark and grimy underworld where anything goes.

From initial impressions, Solo: A Star Wars Story appears to be a fun movie, but the text here indicates it will have a bit of dark tone, with the Imperial Flag reigning across the galaxy.

But, it appears, that Han Solo will be the spark of hope and one who will fight against it. We’ll learn even more first hand of what Snoke tells Ben Solo aka Kylo Ren about his father’s heart — one of gold hidden beneath a tough exterior.
