Obi-Wan rumors: Thrawn rumored to be in a future Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone film

Thrawn is rumored to be in a future Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone film, after an “audition tape” of Adam Templar surfaces.

Obi-Wan Kenobi won’t stay hidden on Tatooine, even on a day that belongs to Han Solo and Solo: A Star Wars Story. More Obi-Wan rumors surfaced from the depths of the Coruscanti underground, ones that ought to get us excited — even if they are only wild rumors (for now).

Earlier in the week, rumors of a Thrawn appearing in Star Wars: Episode IX surfaced, but Timothy Zahn quickly quieted those rumblings down, at least for now — with new Thrawn rumors coming to the surface today.

British actor Adam Templar filmed his “audition” for the menacing Chiss Grand Admiral Thrawn, even coloring himself blue to fit the part. Lucasfilm, if you haven’t one so already, lock this guy up with a 100 movie contract, will you?

Thanks to Adam Templar’s Vimeo account, we can watch it for ourselves, and it will leave you with chills.

"If I were Master Shakaar, where would I hide?cWe know our Jedi is a man of solitude, nature, peace, comfort in these things he would find. So it is wise to deduce that a location of this sort would be of much interest to him, yes?"

What a load of this is, isn’t it? His Thrawn impression continues, one that shows that he’s fit for the part.

"Okay, so the 132 worlds in this quadrant we can now narrow that down to a much smaller 28.  He would also try to avoid the established urban worlds as most of them are now under the command of the Empire. Hmmm.. Nature, peace, hmmm…Commander set the coordinates for the penal system we leave here dearly. Oh, and, umm, alert Lord Vader. The noose is tied and set.  It is time to catch a Jedi."

As Andy from The Office says, he NAILED it. Can we start production now for as many Thrawn movies, TV shows, and books as possible? Please, Lucasfilm?

OmegaUnderground.com states that it’s possible Thrawn could pop in a Kenobi film or story.

Here’s what we know thus far for an Obi-Wan Kenobi standalone film — which is still yet to be officially confirmed by Lucasfilm.

Next: Possible Kenobi film villains

Now, we can add a Grand Admiral Thrawn to the mix of these Kenobi rumors. Maybe Lucasfilm/Disney is waiting until Star Wars Celebration 2019 in Chicago and what a celebration that would be if they announce an Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars film — with Ewan McGregor coming out to reveal it himself!
