THIS ARTICLE MAY CONTAIN A FEW SPOILERS for Solo: A Star Wars Story, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED-

After seeing Solo: A Star Wars Story over the weekend, I can safely say that this is one of the most criminally underrated movies in the Star Wars universe. It deserved a lot more hype than it got, and Alden Ehrenreich gave the Han Solo character justice as well as making it his own.

Solo is underrated. It’s one of those movies which turned out fantastic but didn’t crunch the box-office numbers it deserved. As well as having a right balance of humor and sci-fi action, there are life lessons we can take from it, despite it being a saga set in space.

Whether it’s to do with us personally or the community we live in. Below are some of the lessons we can learn from our favorite galactic heroes!

1. Never, ever, underestimate women

Had to start with my favorite one. Emilia Clarke’s portrayal of Qi’ra gives more than enough reasons not to underestimate #womenpower. Okay, so she did kinda sorta kill Vos (which I did not expect at all by the way), but her arc wasn’t merely another female only included as a ‘love interest.’

That’s important and can be adapted to real life, in the sense that women are much more than sensual desirables. All women have a story, have a purpose and are worth much more significant than what others may belittle them to be.

Women are built up of strength, passion, stamina and every other dominant force that makes them such influential people. Qi’ra indeed showed it in…a different approach, but none-the-less, women are a force not to be reckoned with! Can I get a #feminism up in here?!
