Mark Hamill tweets he’s never met his “mother” Natalie Portman
We all know Mark Hamill is famous for his role as Luke Skywalker. However, he’s also famous for his hilarious and zany tweets…
A few days, Natalie Portman, known to us on this site for her role as Padme in the prequels, did an interview with Stephen Colbert on his Late Night with Stephen Colbert show. It was her birthday, and so Stephen Colbert mentioned a tweet that Mark Hamill sent out in honor of it being her big day.
Of course, in true Mark Hamill fashion, the tweet was silly instead of serious. He retweeted the official Star Wars Twitter account’s tweet which was a picture of Natalie Portman as Queen Amidala. In his tweet, he said:
FUN FACT: I’ve never met this woman.

I suppose that’s something he has in common with young Luke Skywalker as he never got to really know her either!
Stephen Colbert brought this up to Natalie Portman who said she would love to meet Mark. She also said, jokingly, that it would be a good start if he wished her a Happy Birthday (which he didn’t do in his tweet).
Colbert also mentioned that he has spent time with both Natalie Portman and Mark Hamill and that he feels that makes him the “center of the Star Wars universe.”
Well, I don’t know about you guys but I would love to see a meeting between Natalie Portman and Mark Hamill (maybe you could arrange that, Stephen Colbert?). I’m the ensuing tweets from Mark Hamill would be hilarious.
