New information and artwork has leaked from the upcoming Star Wars Resistance. Take a look at what we know.

Back in April, Star Wars Resistance was announced with some plot details and cast members. The show is set to take place prior to The Force Awakens. While no exact release date was given, we knew it was set to air this fall.

Helene Wetzel (a Disney communications employee in France) tweeted about the show saying that it would be out in October, but the tweet has since been deleted. A photo with some of the character was also leaked on Twitter.

After watching The Clone Wars and Rebels, I’m confident in Dave Filoni’s ability to helm another animated show. The art style will be a little different since it’s anime-inspired, but the storytelling should still be good. Personally, I’m all in on whatever Dave Filoni does and Lucasfilm in general for that matter. I’ve been reading the books, watching all of the new films and dipping into the comics here and there. They have plenty of lore to dive into while we wait for new projects like this one to release.

The show will feature familiar characters such as BB-8, Poe Dameron and Phasma. It’ll also include a new character, Kazuda Xiono, who is a pilot recruited by the Resistance for a top-secret mission.

The voice cast consists of Oscar Isaac, Gwendolyn Christie, Christopher Sean, Suzie McGrath, Scott Lawrence, Myrna Velasco, Josh Brener, Donald Faison, Bobby Moynihan, Jim Rash and Rachel Butera. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details on the show ahead of its release.
