Star Wars’ Kelly Marie Tran receives support from Harry Potter star Katie Leung
By Callum Gunn
Racist and sexist abuse forced Kelly Marie Tran to delete her social media account but support is still on her side and this time from the Wizarding World.
Kelly Marie Tran has already received support from the Star Wars community already. Mark Hamill, Jenny Han, Rian Johnson and others, have all shown their support for the Star Wars actress portrayal in The Last Jedi.
Further support is being shown towards Kelly Marie Tran and this it is not from the Star Wars community but from the Wizarding World itself.

She then showed further support for Tran on her official Twitter account. Katie took to Twitter and started directly hitting back at the same type of online trolls that had targeted Tran. In one message she sent, ‘Racism/Misogyny is a bitch. Get well soon.’
Fans have shown their appreciation for the actions Katie has taken in showing support for Tran.
Despite all of the abuse directed towards Tran, it has clearly not had the desired effect they set out to achieve. Tran may have shut down her social media account but she is coming back in Star Wars Episode IX.
Casting for the movie was announced on Friday and Tran was named as one of the returning characters. Although the question being asked now is how?
