Solo: A Star Wars Story comic adaptation among new releases this week
This week’s Star Wars comics feature the beginning of Solo: A Star Wars Story comic adapation – the start of a seven-comic series.
We’ve gotten the Solo movie theater release, the home video release, the novel adaptation and now it’s time for the comic. The comic adaptation for Solo: A Star Wars Story releases today, featuring the first of seven issues.
It’s not the first time Beckett has appeared in a Star Wars comic. He recently had a one shot where he, Val and Rio were featured in some of their adventures. Now, it’s time to tell the story in a different way.
Mur Lafferty’s novel was great, offering new scenes and extra insight. Let’s see how the Solo comic will do.

Solo: A Star Wars Story Adaptation #1 (of 7)
The Solo comic starts the way we’ve seen it before. Han tries to sweet talk his way through a deal, but it goes sideways. He returns to Lady Proxima having to explain why he doesn’t have the money or the coaxium and when she decided to make an example out of him, Han’s life changes forever.
The story isn’t going to change. If you’ve watched the movie or read the book, you know exactly what is going to happen. The difference in the comic is it gives Star Wars fans a different way to ingest it.
And every once in a while, we get a few added panels that give us something to talk about.
This is the first of seven in the Solo comic adaptation.

Star Wars Adventures Tales from Vader’s Castle #2
The spooky series continues for its second week. Tales from Vader’s Castle is a five-week issue run throughout the month of October, telling scary tales just in time for Halloween.
Every week, new characters will be featured. Last week, Hera and Kanan appeared in the first issue. This week’s comic will feature Count Dooku and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
The series seems to follow Lina Graf, a member of the Rebel Alliance, and her crew. They make an emergency landing on Mustafar and their only hope of getting off the planet is through Vader’s castle.
That is very scary.
