With production for The Mandalorian well underway, it’s only a matter of time before we find out who the characters are. Could one of them be Sabine Wren?
News for Jon Favreau’s Disney Play series, The Mandalorian was kicked into high gear last week with the reveal of the show’s synopsis and title. Rumors manifested in the form of which characters may appear in the new series.
One character who fans want to appear on the show is Star Wars Rebels’ Sabine Wren who is a Mandalorian warrior. I’ve put together a list of six actresses who could play her if she were to cameo in the series.

6. Grace Park
The first woman on this list is Korean-American-Canadian actress, Grace Park. Best known for her role in the remake of Hawaii Five-O as Kono Kalakaua, Park is a perfect candidate to play Sabine.
Park would kick butt on Five-O week in, week out. Sabine would be a character she would exceed at playing, due to the physical attributes the roles and the snark and wit the character provides.
5. Priyanka Chopra
Indian actress Priyanka Chopra has been linked to other fan castings such as Barbara Gordon in the DC films. Having her in our list shouldn’t be surprising.
Chopra, who is best remembered for her role of Alex Parrish in the ABC thriller series, Quantico, would be perfect. Like Alex Parrish, Sabine can kick some serious butt so Priyanka is an ideal choice for the role.

4. Jamie Chung
The second Korean-American on this list, Jamie Chung is a veteran at playing strong female roles. Some of her famous roles include Mulan in Once Upon a Time, GoGo Tomago in the Big Hero 6 franchise and Clarice Fong/Blink in The Gifted.
Chung has acted in the horror movie Sorority Row alongside The Clone Wars alumni Matt Lanter and original Star Wars trilogy actress, Carrie Fisher. She would be perfect for as Sabine Wren as she also looks the part.
3. Zoë Saldana
Zoë Saldana is no stranger to fan culture. She has appeared in James Cameron’s Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Losers and the Rosemary’s Baby remake. She’s seen and done it all.
Having Saldana on board as Sabine would be a different take on the character. Not only would she provide the kick-butt attitude the character has, but she would also embody the passion and commitment Sabine Wren has for her people.

2. Tiya Sircar
The obvious first choice would be Sabine’s voice actor, Tiya Sircar. Sircar was amazing in the role over the four-season run of Rebels. She showed Sabine go from teenage runaway to a leader who would do anything to rescue her friends from certain death.
Besides this, she knows the character inside and out.
1. Jessica Parker Kennedy
Our final actress in our fan cast is Jessica Parker Kennedy. Best known from her roles in 90210, Black Sails and The Flash, Kennedy could fit the role of Sabine.
She has the right look for the character and she’s known for playing some strong female characters. If Kennedy plays the role, she could give the character a softer persona, depending on what time period the character appears in.
There are many great actors out there who could play the role of Sabine. These are the ones I believe would be perfect for the role.
