One new Star Wars comic comes out this week, but we get back to our trilogy heroes in issue No. 70.

It’s a pretty light week when it comes to new Star Wars comics, but if there is just going to be one comic, it will be from the main title.

Star Wars No. 70 hits shelves this week. The title has reached the timeline of The Empire Strikes Back with probe droids searching the galaxy for the rebels.

More from Star Wars Comics

Currently, the heroes are working on three different fronts. Han and Leia are trying to take down a crime syndicate while also dealing with their feelings. Luke has meet a potential ally or at least someone who might also be Force sensitive. While Chewbacca and C-3PO are avoiding disasters and rock monsters.

While the last issue felt like a big set up for the arc, hopefully we’ll see a lot more action in this week’s new issue.

I’m interested in seeing more about Luke’s new friend. She’s not someone who was part of the movies, so she is side character. But I’m intrigued to see what happens between them and if she is Force sensitive, how she has avoided the Empire.

Here’s the summary from Marvel Comics:

"ROGUES, ROMANCE AND ROCK MONSTERS! With the fate of the Rebellion at stake, our heroes scramble to set their decoys and traps to protect THE REBEL FLEET. But everyone’s plan suddenly becomes more complicated. What can a frontier cardsharp teach Luke about THE FORCE? What are HAN and LEIA doing in the Lanz Carpo honeymoon suite? And which utterly iconic STAR WARS villain finally takes notice as CHEWIE and THREEPIO tangle with the rock monsters of Planet K43?"

While this week might not have a lot of new titles, there is also a trade paperback coming out today with the Age of Rebellion Heroes issues. So, if you have loved that timeline of Marvel comics, you can get them all in one place.

Next week sees just one new issue as well, but we’ll get to that in time.

Next. Notable goofs and errors from the original movies. dark
