The PR machine is heating up for The Mandalorian. A new cover from Entertainment Weekly gets up close with Star Wars’ newest character.

Entertainment Weekly has had several teases for Star Wars’ The Mandalorian lately. And for good reason.

The media outlet is putting together a large campaign for the live-action series for the franchise, including the cover, which showrunner Jon Favreau shared on his Instagram today.

EW is going hard on the Star Wars theme for The Mandalorian. You can see the headline reads “A New Hope,” which obviously is the name of Episode IV. It is also focusing on that recognizable Mandalorian helmet that fans first grew to love on Boba Fett.

What did we learn from this cover?

The Mandalorian’s helmet is all chrome. This seems to be later in the series. It’s been implied that his armor will be upgraded to chrome throughout the course of the series.

In the first teaser we saw of the show, it reveals the Mandalorian in scuffed up armor. In a recent exclusive image released by EW, parts of the armor have been chromed out.

The EW cover shows the final version.

So, it begs the question: Why is he upgraded his armor and why does he need it?

Those are thing things I’m thinking about. We won’t find out anything until at least November 12, when The Mandalorian premieres on the Disney+ streaming service.

It seems the main story for EW will focus on how The Mandalorian is the first Star Wars live-action series. It certainly spells a new time for Disney. Disney+ will allow its franchises to explore other characters and stories and to go deeper.
