This is Where I Leave You
This 2014 comedy drama featured another fun cast. Jane Fonda plays the matriarch of the Altman family.
Her husband, Mort, has died and the children return home to pay their respects. And they’re all a mess.
Judd (Jason Bateman) is estranged from his wife who had an affair with her boss (Dax Shephard), Wendy (Tina Fey) is unhappy in her marriage and reconnects with her high school crush (Timothy Olyphant), Paul (Corey Stoll), the eldest sibling has his own marital issues, and Phillip (Adam Driver), the youngest of the siblings is a playboy.
Bringing everyone together is a little wild and fun. The family reconnecting leads to discoveries, arguments, hugs and everything in between.
It’s a great cast and a decent film. This is Where I Leave You had greater potential, but in reality it’s still a fun flick to enjoy. The cast alone is worth the hour and a half you invest in checking it out.
Where to watch: Available for rent on Amazon Prime, YouTube and other outlets.
