Star Wars Squadron video game name and poster leaked
While Star Wars fans have been waiting for the Project Maverick reveal, the info got leaked just a bit early when fans spotted the artwork in the Xbox marketplace.
Quickly, screenshots were shared and the awaited video game announcement was no longer in “project” status. The leak revealed the name of the video game, which was reported by EuroGamer.
The name? Star Wars: Squadron.
Clearly by just the name, it will involve piloting. When you add the poster to the mix, you can see that it’s both sides of the war with X-Wings and TIE Fighters fighting against each other.

Star Wars Squadron trailer to stream on Monday
The reveal trailer will be streamed on YouTube on Monday at 11 a.m. ET. You can check it out here.
The game was developed by EA Motive. While Motive has worked on other Star Wars projects including Battlefront 2, this is its first full game launch for the franchise.
Initially, it was rumored the info would be revealed on last week, but due to the protests and companies rightfully taking a back seat to let important voices shines through, it delayed the announcement. Now, there is a definitive date even if it wasn’t when Motive expected.
Or was it?
You never know who puts these leaks out there, but at least we know we will learn more on Monday.
