The series is rumored to start filming in November, according to Bespin Bulletin, which has been known for providing reputable rumors. But remember, this is just a rumor, so take it with a grain of salt.

Hearing the Cassian Andor series will start filming in a few months is welcomed news, especially given how this year and the pre-production for the series has gone. It has had a new showrunner and re-written scripts and then when you add in the shutdown from the global pandemic, the future of the Cassian Andor series a little murky.

But with the filming potentially starting, it also gives us a better idea as to when we can expect the untitled series on Disney+.

Bespin Bulletin’s latest update stated a Redditor said a friend was to work on an unnamed Star Wars project from November to July at Pinewood Studios in London. If the filming ends in July, then add in the post-production work, fans are looking at around winter of 2021 or late early 2022 for the show to stream on Disney+.

I’m leaning more toward early 2022 because there is a third season that has been confirmed for The Mandalorian. The first and second season of the popular series has premiered in November 2019 and October 2020, respectively. Star Wars likely would want to stick to the same cadence for a third season.

There’s also The Bad Batch animated series slated for 2021.

So, while the Cassian Andor series is likely to start filming in November, speculation as to when we could see the finished product on Disney+ is still up in the air.
