Star Wars: The Bad Batch is nearly here. There’s just under a month to go before its Star Wars Day (May 4) debut, and Star Wars is giving us yet another glimpse at the series before it comes out.

This time, Star Wars has revealed a new poster for The Bad Batch, and it has us even more excited for the show that’s set to premiere on Disney+. In the new poster, we see all of Clone Force 99. That, of course, includes Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Echo, and Crosshair. And in this poster, we also see a new character joining along with the crew, the child that we saw in the latest Bad Batch trailer.

Of course, we have many questions about who that child is (as well as some theories). But there’s one more notable person on the poster who can’t be left out: Emperor Palpatine. Yes, the hooded senator-turned-chancellor-turned-Emperor is featured on the poster looming above the Bad Batch crew — so we know he will have something sinister in store now that he has complete control over the galaxy.

Emperor Palpatine in The Bad Batch

With The Bad Batch taking place after the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, that means we’re entering a new era in Star Wars history. We get a new glimpse into the early days of the Empire, and we’ll see that through the eyes of the Bad Batch.

So, what will happen with the Empire and Clone Force 99? In the latest trailer, we saw Tarkin watching over the crew on Kamino. And later in the same trailer, he declares that he wants “Clone Force 99 found and wiped out.” This means the crew probably aren’t taking too kindly to the Empire’s regime. And, hopefully, they can avoid Palpatine’s wrath at all costs if that’s the case.

The new poster, overall, does have us excited for what’s to come. And luckily the premiere will kick off with a 70-minute episode to set the tone for the rest of the series. Then, after that, another new episode will premiere on May 7.
