What time does the Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiere release?
It’s officially Star Wars Week at Dork Side of the Force, and we’ll be celebrating all things a galaxy far, far away every day with fun, new content. While many of us are looking forward to getting merchandise deals on May the Fourth or video game discounts, others are hyped up for the premiere of a brand-new series, Star Wars: The Bad Batch.
The Bad Batch is an animated series that follows the events of The Clone Wars, debuting on Disney Plus on May 4, 2021. Though we won’t be getting appearances from recent fan-favorites Baby Yoda or Din Djarin from The Mandalorian, we will see the return of the Clone Force 99 which includes Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, and Echo. Other recognizable Star Wars characters such as Fennec Shand and Grand Moff Tarkin are also set to be part of the show.
What is The Bad Batch about?
Per IMDb‘s synopsis, here’s what you can expect from the upcoming Star Wars show:
"The ‘Bad Batch’ of elite and experimental clones make their way through an ever-changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone Wars."
As fans of the Star Wars animated series will know, The Clone Wars ended with the war officially over and the clones gone. The Bad Batch will mark a new chapter for the titular group as they navigate life in their new world.
The Bad Batch release time
The Bad Batch premiere is debuting on Tuesday, May 4, but after that, the show will follow a Friday weekly release. Despite the switch-up for the first episode, it will still be released during the usual Disney Plus timeframe.
The first episode of The Bad Batch, titled “Aftermath” (per IGN), will be released on the streaming service at 12:01 a.m. PT / 3:01 a.m. ET. Unfortunately, that means those on the East Coast will have to stay up very late tonight to tune in. Will you pull an all-nighter to check it out?
