There’s another new episode of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and that episode is currently out now. As usual, Disney+ likes to wait to reveal episode titles and synopses, though, so that information is finally out about the current release, episode 2.

In the previous episode, we learned about what Clone Force 99 was up to when Order 66 went down. As we saw, the team was sent out to assist padawan Caleb Dume and his master Depa Billaba in a battle against the droid army. And that’s when the call for Order 66 went out. Depa was executed, and Caleb went on the run.

After that, the Clone Force felt like fish out of water — seeing as they didn’t comply with orders to execute the Jedi. Well, all but Crosshair, who had impulses to follow the order. After losing Crosshair to the Empire, the remaining team plus their new friend, Omega, set out to escape Kamino and find their way in this new galaxy. So, what can Disney+ reveal about what’s next for the crew?

The Bad Batch season 1 episode 2 synopsis, title and runtime

The official title for The Bad Batch season 1 episode 2 is “Cut and Run.” And the episode is approximately 31 minutes long. Here’s the official synopsis from Disney+:

"The Bad Batch visit an old contact."

Once again, Disney+ is keeping it absolutely brief when it comes to the episode descriptions. But suffice to say by now, we know exactly who this “old contact” is that the group is going to visit. (Of course, you can stop reading now if you don’t want mild spoilers for the new episodes.)

Based on all the information (including a new trailer to preview the episode), it looks like the crew are going to meet up with the clone Cut Lawquane, who we first met in The Clone Wars. That’s evident by the clever title, as well as the appearance of his wife, Suu Lawquane, in the trailer, his location (J-19) that was teased in the previous episode, and (more blatantly) the first-look photos that StarWars.com shared this morning.

Now, what remains to be seen is what the Bad Batch will be up to with Cut and his family. Laying low while they think things over? Planning to get back at the Empire? Or perhaps seeking some assistance for what to do with Crosshair? From what we know about Cut, he’s certainly adept at laying low and doing his own thing, so it just may be what the Bad Batch needs right now as they figure out how to navigate this post-Order 66 world.
