This season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch may be drawing to a close, but not for good. Disney announced they’re renewing the series for a second season ahead of this week’s two-part finale.
After last week’s explosive episode “War-Mantle,” we’re getting closer to unraveling the mystery of Omega, the clones, and the aftermath of the world after Order 66.
Last week’s episode saw Clone Troop 99 divert from a mission for Cid to rescue another “defective” clone thanks to a tip from Rex. The rescue mission was made trickier after the Empire had captured the clone, Gregor.
After an exciting chase and rescue, they made it out with Gregor, but Hunter was left behind and came face-to-face with Crosshair at long last, setting up a dramatic and suspenseful conclusion to the first season.
This week’s episode is the penultimate episode of the first season of The Bad Batch and also the first part of the season finale. We can only assume Omega and the rest of the Bad Batch will stop at nothing to rescue their brother Hunter despite his orders to leave him behind.
In the meantime, will Hunter be able to save Crosshair from the Empire’s clutches? And what role will their new buddy Gregor play in the finale? As always, you’ll have to tune in to find out.
