Season 1 of The Bad Batch is coming to a close, Batchers. We’ve finally reached the last part of the Batch’s story…at least for now.
The series was renewed for a season 2, so we’re definitely in for another ride with this crew but first, they need their leader back.
Last week’s episode, “War-Mantle,” ended with Hunter being left behind when a rescue mission the Batch were put on by Rex goes left. His capture reunited him with Crosshair once again which means we’re in for a rendezvous with the whole crew in The Bad Batch episode 15.
How will things shake out? Here’s what we can tell you without spoiling the first part of the finale.
The Bad Batch episode 15 synopsis, title, and runtime
As the episode title, “Return to Kamino,” indicates, Crosshair will be taking Hunter back to Kamino. That was pretty much a given considering the last time we saw Crosshair in “Rescue on Ryloth,” he’d gotten permission from Admiral Rampart to bring the Batch in.
Will Crosshair try to recruit his old team? He did seem to be missing them in the field. They’re an advanced and competent force which is something Crosshair is lacking with his Empire-assigned troops. Or will he simply leave them to the mercy of the Empire?
It’s anyone’s guess and the synopsis doesn’t provide a clue.
"The Bad Batch find themselves in unexpected territory in this thrilling finale."
Unexpected territory seems incongruous with the Batch’s familiarity with Kamino. But things have steadily been changing throughout the galaxy and on Kamino since the Empire grabbed control. “War-Mantle” revealed that the clones en masse are being assigned to military bases on various planets.
Clearly, Rampart’s project is in full effect. What that means for Clone Force 99 is unknown, but it can’t be good. Part 1 of The Bad Batch finale has a 26-minute runtime. Will the Batch be able to save Hunter? Watch and see!
