When Lucasfilm revealed the official Obi-Wan Kenobi release date last month, Star Wars fans demanded to know more about the limited Disney+ series. Their wish has been granted.

This morning, EW released a series of stunning images from the first episode of the upcoming series, including exclusive info about details fans could only speculate about before — including an inquisitor (or more?).

One photo in particular reveals Uncle Owen Joel Edgerton) coming face-to-face with an inquisitor named Reva (Moses Ingram). It’s birth frightening and exhilarating to know that the inquisitors must have been much closer to locating Luke Skywalker than we ever imagined possible.

We first met the dark and dangerous inquisitors in Star Wars: Rebels when they began to pursue Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger. The servants of Vader were tasked with locating Force-sensitive beings and any surviving Jedi after Order 66 once the Galactic Empire was established.

These are the first official photos from the series we’ve seen so far, and hype for the highly-anticipated series has never been greater. Ewan McGregor has spoken highly of the series, speaking to its satisfactory nature (whatever that means) and teasing scenes with Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. As always, no one seems to love being in Star Wars more than McGregor, and he’ll no doubt bring that pure excitement to the small screen in every scene he’s set to appear in. With just over two months to go, all eyes are on Kenobi.

Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor with appearances by Hayden Christensen and Kumail Nanjiani and is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed an episode of The Mandalorian. The series is set to premiere May 25, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
