Could Ewan McGregor’s May 4 Jimmy Kimmel appearance include a Kenobi trailer?

The Force just got stronger with May 4.

May is becoming the month of Obi-Wan Kenobi since the actor behind the Jedi Master, Ewan McGregor is scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Star Wars Day. And he is expected to promote the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

The announcement was made on Twitter and it has led fans to speculate that a new trailer for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series will debut. The appearance was announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live!  guest calendar.

The Twitter accounts that made the announcement are Star Wars Holocron and Ewan McGregor Daily. In addition, the fan Twitter account for Ewan McGregor Brasil posted a screenshot of the scheduled appearance by the actor.

“Ad we’ll probably get a new trailer,” Tweeted RockyDrago66. The tweet showed a GIF of Obi-Wan with electro-binoculars from the first trailer.

“Trailer incoming,” Tweeted Patrick Snyder.

The first trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi debuted on March 9 and it showed the titular Jedi Master on the planet Tatooine taking inventory of everything happening around him including seeing Luke Skywalker, the son of his fallen apprentice Anakin Skywalker (portrayed by Hayden Christensen). The trailer also shows the first live-action appearance of the Grand Inquisitor and an appearance new Inquisitor being portrayed by Moses Ingram.

Obi-Wan Kenobi stars Ewan McGregor with appearances by Hayden Christensen and Kumail Nanjiani and is directed by Deborah Chow, who previously directed an episode of The Mandalorian. The series is set to premiere May 27, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
