When it comes to Star Wars, there's little that Hayden Christensen hasn't had the opportunity to try. The Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader actor has played a Jedi Knight and a Sith Lord in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, and reprised his roles again in Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka.

Christensen confirmed at Star Wars Celebration that he'll reprise the role of Ahsoka Tano's former Master again in season 2, and he's currently filming his scenes, while also attending conventions. Although his role in season 2 remains a mystery, Christensen is already thinking about his future in Star Wars.
The actor believes there's scope for a few more stories where he can play an important role. Via Collider, at Fan Expo Boston, which was attended by Christensen and his co-star, Ewan McGregor, he opened up about the future Star Wars stories he wishes to be a part of. Christensen has two very specific and exciting projects in mind: A live-action series set during the Clone Wars, and a Darth Vader spinoff.
About the Clone Wars series, he says, "Iād love to get to do some more Clone Wars-era Anakin, too. I think there are some fun stories there to tell, and if it meant I got to swing a lightsaber with Ewan again, that would be amazing."
Fans had a taste of what the Clone Wars would look like in live-action during Ahsoka, Episode 5, "Shadow Warrior". In a sequence that saw Ahsoka waking up in the World Between Worlds, she was taken on a trip to her past as a child soldier during the Clone Wars. The smoky atmosphere, Clone Troopers, and Master Skywalker in Clone Wars armor are a few of the highlights of that sequence. It was a real treat for fans, and the only thing missing was Anakin's Master, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
We've watched Hayden and Ewan face off in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, but there's something special about seeing them fighting on the same side. The Clone Wars is remembered fondly by fans for the new insight it gave into Anakin and Obi-Wan's relationship. After Anakin became a Jedi Knight, the duo grew closer and became best friends.
That's an aspect of their bond we didn't get to see much of in live-action, and Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen's real life friendship would translate well on screen. However, a Clone Wars series isn't the only story Christensen wants to do. He also hopes that he'll get to explore more of the dark side by reprising his role for a Vader spinoff. He reveals, Iād love to get to do some more stuff in the Darth Vader timeline⦠I think thereās some good, meaty stuff there to explore still."
Christensen was clear that he wants to "to keep exploring this character in both eras." There's plenty of content to cover if a series were to be set during the Clone Wars or during the reign of the Empire. Watching things unfold from Vader's point of view would be a dark and painful experience, but one that could be revealing if it's done right. While Anakin was always struggling with his emotions as a Jedi, it didn't get easier for Vader, who continued to be plagued by memories of his past, especially his deceased wife, Padme Amidala.
Ahsoka and Obi-Wan Kenobi are streaming on Disney+.
