Ahsoka's Ivanna Sakhno opened up regarding how it feels to reunite with her castmates and reprise her role as Shin Hati. For Sakhno, Shin Hati is the only character she's reprised, and the actress is deeply grateful for the chance to continue being part of Star Wars.

Her time as Shin Hati means a lot to Sakhno, who became visibly emotional when she asked about filming season 2.

"I'm returning to London tomorrow to be back with my family and continue telling Shin's story," Sakhno revealed in a recent interview while promoting her latest movie, M3GAN 2.0.

When asked how it's been emotionally and physically returning as Shin Hati, a teary-eyed Sakhno confessed, "Shin means so much to me, and this family means so much to me. What it means to the world is at the forefront for us and also the personal experience we're having with each other is unlike anything I've experienced, and we've been through a lot together as a team and as a family."

Sakhno's emotional response doesn't come as a surprise, as the Ahsoka cast has been through quite a bit. The team was hit by tragedy when Ray Stevenson, Sakhno's on-screen Master, passed away shortly before the premiere of season 1. Later, Ahsoka's award-winning costume designer, Shawna Trpcic, passed away. The cast took time to honor Stevenson at a memorial attended by Stevenson's family, and Rosario Dawson detailed her time with Shawna Trpcic in an interview with Variety.

These tragic events likely brought the cast closer together, and Sakhno's emotional reaction is a good sign for fans. It's always a positive sign when a Star Wars role means so much to an actor, and Sakhno's reaction also means Shin's journey is a fulfilling one from her perspective. It's not always the case that an actor is as emotionally invested in a project as fans. Sakhno and the entire cast know what's at stake, and they're eager to meet expectations.

Apart from Sakhno, actor Rory McCann, who will replace Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, opened up about filling Stevenson's shoes. Rosario Dawson shares behind-the-scenes pictures occasionally on social media, and Eman Esfandi's recent posts have confirmed that Ezra Bridger will get a haircut and be clean-shaven next season. Others, including Hayden Christensen, Natasha Liu-Bordizzo, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, haven't given anything away about what fans can expect from season 2.

Ahsoka season 2 is currently filming in London, and there haven't been any leaks that hint at what's in store for the main characters. If Sakhno's reaction is anything to go by, this season will surpass expectations and be among the most memorable Star Wars projects. The new galaxy, the Mortis Gods, and Grand Admiral Thrawn make for several exciting potential storylines, ensuring plenty of compelling arcs to look forward to.

Ahsoka is streaming on Disney+.
