Jude Law's love for Star Wars is evident by how quickly he's able to name his favorite Star Wars movies and series. He doesn't shy away from revealing that an offer to be a part of Star Wars has been something he's wanted for eons.

In a new interview with Collider, Law, who stars as Jod Na Nawood in Skeleton Crew, reveals his favorite Star Wars media, what to expect from his character, and his thoughts on all the wild theories about the upcoming series.

When asked if he was relieved to be considered for a part in Star Wars, Law revealed his love for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Mandalorian, and Andor. Law admits watching these Star Wars masterpieces made him wonder which role he could've played if he had been cast in one of them. That's not all, as Law went into much greater detail about his favorite Star Wars films.

Asked to give his opinion on which is better, Star Wars or The Empire Strikes Back, Law gave an interesting answer, which is equally pleasing for original trilogy fans as well as anyone who likes the Disney content better. He said, "Empire Strikes Back and then Rogue One." It's refreshing to see how sure Law is of what he considers the best of the franchise. It's clear he's watched everything from the beginning, and although he doesn't quite place Rogue One above A New Hope, the question puts him in a bit of a dilemma.

However, Law is sure of his opinion on Empire Strikes Back, which he considers the best Star Wars movie ever. He places it above everything else, including A New Hope, Return of the Jedi, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The revelation that Darth Vader was Luke Skywalker's father had a profoundly life-changing impact on the actor:

"I mean, even Empire Strikes Back, which is a better film and has one of the greatest moments in cinematic history — the reveal of “I am your father” shattered my life. How is this possible? This is the most evil, scary person I've ever seen, and he's the hero's dad? It doesn't make sense."

Fans of the live-action series shouldn't feel left out, as Law heaped praises equally on The Mandalorian and Andor and says that at some point, he hopes for a crossover between Skeleton Crew and Mando, which take place in the same timeline. As for his character, Law describes him as "complicated, mischievous, mysterious, multifaceted, sort of flawed, but a hero" and adds, "I love it, and, as you can hear, I said yes pretty bloody quickly."

Although it took a few years, Jude Law feels he received the call from Lucasfilm at the perfect time, and he hopes to continue being a part of the Star Wars galaxy for years to come.
