San Diego Comic-Con 2024 is here and so it the latest news from Lucasfilm! At the Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away panel, we got news from two different sides of the franchise. The first half was dedicated to the upcoming open-world video game Star Wars Outlaws, and the back half was all about the latest publishing news, especially in The High Republic era.

Here are all the announcements you might have missed!

The Art of Star Wars Outlaws

Just like past Star Wars video games, Star Wars Outlaws is going to get an artbook from Dark Horse comics! The podcast Stardust Records shared one of the images of the art book on their Twitter account, and you can see more, including the cover, at StarWars.com.

New books for The Acolyte

Hot off the heels of the latest Star Wars series, multiple books for The Aoclyte were announced. First up is an adult novel titled Wayseeker by Justina Ireland. This novel focuses on Vernestra Rwoh and takes place about 20 years prior to the series. The title is also interesting because a Wayseeker in this time period is a Jedi who is still a Jedi, but they operate outside the rules and boundaries of the Jedi Order. It's a practice that is done away with by the time we get to the prequel trilogy. To speculate, perhaps Vernestra is the last Wayseeker? We'll have to wait to see!

The other announcement was a currently untitled YA novel about Jecki Lon and Yord Fandar, which is positively going to energize the Yord Horde and the Jecki Jam fans! After the events of episode 5, "Night," it's good to see there will be more stories with these fan-favorite characters. Tessa Gratton will pen this book, which is currently set to release in July 2025. Jess from RuPalp's Podrace and For Light and Dice podcasts snagged a picture on their Twitter of the current cover.

It's Kelnacca time!

While the first live action Wookiee Jedi Master might have been done dirty in his first show, Kelnacca is getting plenty of love in the publishing side of things. More details were revealed about his upcoming one shot comic arriving in September. Star Wars: Kelnacca showed that the Wookiee along with his currently unnamed padawan. This issue is written by Cavan Scott. Stardust Records shared a peek at Kelnacca with fan favorite High Republic Jedi Master Elzar Mann, too!

Cavan Scott and Kelnacca aren't finished yet either. The Wookiee is joining Master Keeve Trennis' dream team for The High Republic mainline comic, with another run kicking off in February 2025.

Let's round out the rest

To wrap up the final announcements from the publishing panel, The Art of Star Wars: The High Republic (Volume II) and The Art of The Acolyte are both on the way from Kristin Baver. The latter will have a forward from Leslye Headland included too. Pablo Hidalgo will also have a new reference book diving into all the details of the latest Star Wars show with The Acolyte Visual Guide. While not part of the publishing side of things, it was also revealed that Hasbro has a Vernestra Rwoh figure from The Black Series on the way. Meg Dowell from Now This is Lit: A Star Wars Book podcast showcased a first look at the figure on her Twitter account.

That's it for the Star Wars: Stories from a Galaxy Far, Far Away panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. See all the pictures and full details at StarWars.com.
